King Arthur, born Arthur Pendragon, is the son of Uther Pendragon a great and noble King. Uther is outwardly righteous and fair; however, he does still harbor natural human wants. When Arthur is born he is sent off by Merlin to live with Sir Ector and his family. Sir Ector raises Arthur as his own never telling him the truth. When Arthur is older and Uther has passed on he is present with an opportunity to pull a mystic sword from a stone.

After Arthur removes the sword with ease, it is revealed to him that he is in fact Uther Pendragon's only heir. Arthur comes forward as the true King of Britain, but the people of the realm refuse to accept him as their King, which ignites a furious struggle for power, with Arthur at its helm. Still, he proves himself worthy of the crown, and exhibits the ability to rally the men around him in battle no matter how rough the battle becomes. Arthur becomes known as a just and noble King like his father.
